Ella Quill is a young writer who is passionate about using her God-given gift to serve others. She’s always grown up telling stories to herself and others but started pursuing writing more seriously in 2020. Her debut as a published author was in the autumn of 2023 when she published her Christmas novella, Tales from Bethlehem. When she and her pet rabbit aren’t coming up with the next story idea, she loves to sing Christian theater songs, knit, eat chocolate, and read good books.

More About Me

Hi, friends! I’m so pleased that you stopped by!

I started writing my first story when I was five years old. It was a sweet story about a bunny having a birthday party. Well, I “wrote” the story, meaning that I drew the illustrations and dictated to my mom what the story was. Over the next few years, I wrote more and more stories about this particular bunny, each “book” growing more elaborate and detailed.

I always loved telling stories to myself and others. I’ve spent many summer afternoons in the backyard sharing my stories with my siblings. When I was about twelve years old, I began writing my first chapter books, which helped fuel my love for writing.

It wasn’t until I turned fourteen that I discovered the magic of writing on a laptop using Microsoft Word, and suddenly, my projects became BIG. I finished my first novel (the very first draft of The Hidden Haven) right before my fifteenth birthday. It was then my goal for the next few years to publish my beloved chipmunk novel.

And here we are today, many years and rough drafts later! I am thrilled that The Hidden Haven is now available for readers everywhere!

Some fun facts about me are that I love to knit and listen to audiobooks. (It is so cozy to knit when it’s snowing outside while listening to Jane Austen!) I also love musical theater! Specifically, Sight and Sound Theatres, a Christian theater that presents large-scale Biblical productions. And lastly, after all those years of writing about a bunny, I finally got my sweet pet bunny, Stella. She brings me so much joy and inspiration for my writing!

Well, friends! I hope you have a blessed day!
